Hello everyone!When we started this cooking channel in 2017 as “Nanyang Express”, our intention was to produce and share quick cooking recipe videos hence with the name “Express”.You can check out our first ever video here – 1 minute long and it’s kinda fast-paced. Pardon the video quality though, we have to start somewhere, right?Over the years, we have learned a great deal on how to shoot cooking videos. We have also changed the video aspect ratio from square to landscape.Most importantly, we have gradually made the video longer to showcase more details, and hopefully, it’s less tense, more relaxing to watch.Take a look at our latest recipe video published in October 2020 here. The videos we are producing nowadays are usually more than 3 minutes long.The “Express” element in “Nanyang Express” is no longer suitable. Therefore, we have finally decided to rebrand to “Nanyang Kitchen 南洋小厨” after 3 years.“南洋小厨” literally means “Little Nanyang Kitchen” in Chinese. For those who are unaware, “Nanyang” means the southern region of China, which is Southeast Asia itself.Our logo has remained almost the same, showing our new English brand “Nanyang Kitchen”.
