Canned Stewed Pork with Potato 罐头红烧猪肉焖荷兰薯

minutesBoth canned stewed pork and potato are long shelf life foods so it’s a good idea to keep them at home. In case when you are running out of ingredients to cook, this dish can come to the rescue!
Ingredients
1 can stewed pork
3 pc / 600 g potato (peel off skin & slice it)
5 cloves of garlic (peel off skin & mince it)
½ bowl water (enough to submerge the potato)
1 tsp oyster sauce
1 tsp soy sauce
2 tbsp cornstarch mixture (1 tsp cornstarch & 2 tbsp water)
Instructions
- Preparations
- Fry potato until it turns golden brown, drain and set it aside
- Steps
- Heat the wok with oil, add 2 tbsp oil from the canned stewed pork & garlic, fry evenly and saute
- Add potato and canned stewed pork, fry evenly
- Add water (submerge the pork), oyster sauce & soy sauce, fry evenly and bring to boil
- Cover with a lid, switch to medium heat and simmer for 10 minutes/ until potato softens
- Lift the lid, switch to high heat, add cornstarch mixture to make gravy
- Switch off the gas, enjoy while it’s hot!

- You can add salt if you prefer it to be salty
